The Rivo di Paluzza factory of approximately 10,000 m2 plus courtyard area employs around twenty collaborators, external craftsmen and 15 specialized employees.

DECOFER is renowned for the know-how acquired over time for the creation of metal components for the construction sector with various applications, over time the company has specialized in the production of precision hardware for structural connections, in particular for structures lamellar.

Decofer has a long history of success

Cirillo De Franceschi, known as "FEO", created his first workshop in the cellar of his home in Casteons (Di Paluzza) in 1948 after 25 years of work employed by third parties.

He started at the age of 13 as a boy in Teodoro Ortis' "Farie", located in Paluzza. After his military service, having now become expert in the art of iron, he moved to Milan where he found easy employment in "CAPRONI", the renowned aircraft factory, famous throughout the world.

In the final period of the Second World War he found qualified work in Caporosso in the "Decamot" factory, where the tracks for the famous German Panzers or tanks were built. He also tried to emigrate and from 1946, for two years, he was attracted to Switzerland where he honed himself in skilled work until he believed he had now gained sufficient experience to attempt his own business.

So, in 1948, he decided to set up a room on the ground floor of the house and equipped it to carry out all the wrought iron work in use at that time. The initiative went well, so in 1966 it became necessary to build the current warehouse in order to be able to plan, with new machines, the more rational production of the company's products, which always fell within the sphere of worked iron.

The death of his father in 1978 and of his brother in 1955 marked the birth of a new company, "DECOFER Snc di De Franceschi Roberto e Giuseppe", always committed to traditional manufacturing, and is the one currently in operation. Naturally, times change and so do the needs of customers, so over the years production has accommodated new requests, but without omitting the traditional processes still required.

Since 1981 we have supplied iron trestles and accessories for scaffolding for Switzerland, and since 1990 iron anchors for laminated wood beams to well-known Italian and foreign companies. For the aforementioned processes the workshop has been adequately equipped and has modern, computerized machinery such as the numerically controlled punching machine, the super plasma which allows, by inserting the drawing of the piece to be obtained via PC, to obtain the precise cutting of the same , and the program folder. There is no shortage of presses, welders, cutters and automatic band cutters.
